Bureau for Reintegration of the State Chancellery has the status of General Division and reports directly to the Deputy Prime Minister responsible for implementing policies for country reintegration.

Mr. Gheorghe Bălan is the Head of the Bureau for Reintegration.

The Head of the Bureau is appointed and dismissed by the order of the Secretary General of the Government and reports to the Deputy Prime Minister for reintegration and the Secretary General of the Government.

The Head of the Bureau attends the Government Meetings that examine issues related to the reintegration of the country.

The Head of the Bureau is responsible for organizing its activities:

• presents to the Deputy Prime Minister proposals for hiring and dismissal of the employees of the Bureau in accordance with the legislation;
• sets tasks and duties for the employed personnel of the Bureau, makes proposals to the Deputy Prime Minister for stimulating or, where appropriate, for their disciplinary sanctioning;
• ensures elaboration and realization of work plans of the Bureau and job descriptions of its employees;
• represents the interests of the Bureau in relation with public authorities, legal entities and individuals, representatives of other countries and international organizations;
• maintains relations with diplomatic missions and representatives of international governmental and nongovernmental organizations accredited in Moldova;
• bears personal responsibility for the duties and responsibilities imposed to the Bureau;
• performs other functions assigned within its competence by internal documents of the State Chancellery and / or the indications of the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Secretary General of the Government.
