Prime Minister Iurie Leanca today visited a cold storage in Costesti village and a complex of producing dried fruits and nuts in Nimoreni village, Ialoveni district. Such products as: grapes, dried fruits and nuts are meant for foreign sales markets.
In Nimoreni, Leanca visited the above-mentioned complex, a business initiated with the support of the World Bank within the project on improving competitiveness. The nuts and dried fruits are exported at 98 per cent to the European market. Yearly turnover is estimated at 217 million lei. Enterprise owner Dumitru Vicol said the most important result of investors and team was the fact that the company had managed to meet all standards of quality and safety of the EU. “The enterprise has achieved a quality and food safety management system in accordance with the international standards. Due to it, the company extended the sales market in European states, including Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and France”, he said. Leanca tackled the government measures meant to back farmers and processors. Today, Leanca paid a working visit to Ialoveni district.
