Prime Minister Iurie Leanca thanked Lithuanian Ambassador to Moldova Violeta Motulaite for her contribution in improving the Moldovan-Lithuanian relations and support for Moldova's European agenda.
Iurie Leanca said Violeta Motulaite’s mission was carried out at a crucial time for Moldova. "The relation between our countries is special. We shared historical moments, and this means that there will always be prerequisites for advancing the bilateral relations in various areas, "noted the prime minister. For her part, Violeta Motulaite stressed that her mission to Moldova was an impressive one because in this period in Moldova have undergone many changes, especially on the European agenda: the Association Agreement and the Free Trade Zone with the European Union were signed and European visas were removed for Moldovan citizens. Violeta Motulaite was appointed ambassador of Lithuania to Moldova on 10 August 2009. Her term ends on July 28.
