Prime Minister Iurie Leanca today met Israeli Tourism Minister Uzi Landau. The officials discussed the Moldovan-Israeli relations, economic and social cooperation, as well as the possibility of abolition of visa regime for Moldovans.

The sides approached the need to boost the bilateral trade and the role of relevant intergovernmental commission.

“The Moldovan-Israeli ties have been always friendly, which represents an excellent prerequisite for getting mutually advantageous benefits”, Leanca said.

The premier thanked Israel for the perspective to cancel the visa regime for Moldovans, as well as for the intergovernmental agreement saying that Moldovan citizens can legally work in Israel. He said the abolition of visas would contribute to deepening bilateral relations, firstly, interpersonal ones.

For his part, Uzi Landau noted that the Moldovan-Israeli relations had an enormous potential to be turned to good account.
