Moldovan PM welcomes designation of new European Commission team
“I welcome the designation of the new team of the European Commission, that will be led by our friend Jean-Claude Junker. I am confident that, immediately after he is confirmed by the European Parliament though vote and taking over the post starting from 1 November 2014, we will together continue what we began with the colleagues from the present European Commission, led by Jose Manuel Barroso,” Prime Minister Iurie Leanca has said on the occasion of the designation of the new composition of the European Commission.

Moldovan cabinet approves new rules for public procurement procedure
The government today approved four new regulations on organising and holding tenders for public procurement. The documents set new methods of carrying out the public procurement – via competitive dialogue, using the negotiation procedure, dynamic system and e-tenders.

Moldovan premier’s declaration on Moscow’s decision to ban alcoholic beverages import to Russia
In the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca touched upon Moscow’s decision to impose restrictions on the import of Moldovan alcoholic beverages to the Russian market. The prime minister said the decision was regrettable and groundless. He stressed that the Moldovan government would do its utmost to settle the situation, so that the national economy, as well as the relations with Russia not be affected.
