Moldovan government has list of measures to back farmers
Prime Minister Iurie Leanca after a today’s meeting with fruits and vegetables producers and processers said the government had worked out a string of measures to back the agricultural sector. Thus, the cabinet is to identify a mechanism to provide compensations to the farmers hit by decreasing prices for early fruits. In this context, the prime minister said that, on 13 August, the participants in a cabinet meeting were to adopt a decision on a mechanism and ceiling of compensation. |

Moldovan premier launches more national solidarity actions to support agriculture
The government’s actions to support the agricultural sector were announced by Prime Minister Iurie Leanca after a today meeting with producers of fruits and vegetables, as well as representatives of canned goods factories.The sides discussed the measures likely to be taken as a result of the sanctions imposed by the Russian authorities on Moldovan imports of fruits and vegetables to the Russian market, starting from 21 July 2014. |

More Moldovan hospitals receive medical equipment
Prime Minister Iurie Leanca met with the directors of four Chisinau-based medical institutions to offer medical equipment used in traumatology, orthopaedics and neurosurgery. The institutions are: the Mother and Child Centre, the Valentin Ignatenco Children's Hospital, the National Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery and the Orthopaedics and Traumatology Clinical Hospital. |
